M&S Next Venture Corp’s much-awaited business accelerator program, NEXT Launchpad, kicked off today announcing six high-potential businesses. NEXT Launchpad is a four-month long mentorship-driven program intended to make participating startups investment ready. Intensive mentorship, business model refinement, effective networking and exposure, and growth-oriented investment are some of the key components of the program that will aid companies to take a leap towards next level.

“Today, we started with a general introductory session where the entrepreneurs and mentors got to know each other. Now the program will gradually move onto focused sessions dedicated to helping the entrepreneurs refine and build their business model and work towards accelerated growth,” said Ayush Manandhar, the Program Associate of NEXT Launchpad, “The acceleration sessions will be conducted five days a week for four months with various signature events like Venture Talk, Venture Blend, Brain-fast and Venture walk in between.”

 

According to Kavi Raj Joshi, the Managing Director of M&S Venture Corp, “Seasoned mentors and valued investors from various industries will be visiting NEXT Launchpad for the coming months. The startups will get an opportunity to learn from experienced mentors while increasing their chances of getting an investment by networking with right investors.”

Danfe Solution, Home Automation Nepal, Margo Nepal, Eton Technology, Nepal Packaging and Cool Storage (NPAC) and Farm to Finger were the companies that made it to the NEXT Launchpad. A closer look at the selected companies reveals that each of the mentioned companies is developing innovative and impactful products.

Three of the selected companies are tech-based companies looking for innovative tech solutions to solve regular problems. Danfe Solution, for example, has developed RestroOrder, a full-fledged restaurant management system that helps manage major functions and daily operations of restaurants. Similarly, Home Automation Nepal simplifies your life by enabling you to control different elements of your home like security system, surveillance (CCTV) and energy management among others with a touch of a finger using your smartphone or a tablet. And, Eton technology. provides tech-based solutions to optimize activities and operations in any school facilitating better schooling and education.

 

The remaining companies at Launchpad are agri-based businesses. Margo Nepal is a beverage company that manufactures premium juices from fruits collected from different parts of the country itself. Farm to Finger is trying to improve rural lives by creating an appropriate market for indigenous high-value products and promoting the community-based farming practices. And finally, NPAC is working to promote cultivation, procurement, management and export of the high-value fruit kiwi.
